blue leopard print

This past weekend was pretty busy. I helped my mom run errands Friday and Saturday. Then Saturday night, we had people over to watch the Pacquiao vs. Cotto fight. Yay Pacquiao! Anyway, after everyone left I finally had a chance to do my nails. I wanted my nails to match a top I have. I couldn't decide whether to do leopard or zebra print. I would've tried to do both so that the pattern would be the same as my top but I was too tried to try (it was 1 in the morning). I ended up doing leopard print. I still want to try doing both prints to see how it turns out. Anyway, here are the pictures ...

Here's the pattern on my top.

black and white

A few days ago, I broke a nail and had to cut them pretty short. But even after cutting the nail that broke, I couldn't get it straight. So now the nail on my index finger on my left hand is different from the rest and it bothers me every time I look at it. Anyway, since I've been busy with school lately, I decided to do a pretty simple and quick design on my nails. I used China Glaze Liquid Leather, Konad white, m4 and a glitter art pen for the middle of the flowers. Sorry about the picture quality. I did my nails last night and took a picture by a lamp.

That's all for now. Hopefully I'll have time this weekend to do my nails. Have a great week :)

halloween nails

I was so busy with school last week and didn't have a chance to post up a picture of my halloween nails. I actually did them about a week before halloween and took a picture right after. Anyway, here's what I did ...

Orly Crush On You, Konad black, and m36.

On the day of halloween, I changed my nail polish and did a leopard print design to match my leopard costume (well, not really costume .. just ears and a tail.) I was busy that day and didn't have a chance to take a picture thinking I could take a picture the next day. Unfortunately, they already chipped the next day so I decided not to. Since I had a day off from school yesterday, I had time to do my nails. I used Zoya Demi as my base color. Then I mixed a small amount of Demi and a few drops of white konad polish to make it a bit lighter than the base color. I used the color I mixed for the net looking design (m57). Next, I used konad white for the flowers m35. For the butterfly (m36), I mixed konad white with a few drops of Demi, making it lighter than the net design. It wasn't hard doing this, just a bit more time consuming than the other manicures because of the mixing and all the different designs.

french tip nails

Last week I felt like doing some sort of french tip to my nails. This is what I ended up with ..

I first applied 3 thin coats of China Glaze Fairy Dust at the tips, then used Konad white and plate m9. It looked a bit plain so I added a black flower from plate m4. I still wasn't satisfied. I wanted color so I decided to start over and use Misa Dirty, Sexy, Money as my base with a layer or 2 of Fairy Dust on top. So basically, its the same design as the previous one .. just different colors. Much better :)

first post

Hi, my name is Stephanie and I am addicted to nail polish ... and konad :P

I have always enjoyed wearing nail polish but my addiction to nail polish has rapidly grown over the last few months. I used to have, at most, 5 bottles of nail polish at a time. But since about May or June of this year, my stash has grown.  Not as big as other nail polish fanatics, but more than what I am used to haha.

Of course, buying my first konad set in July also contributed to my growing obsession.  As a result, my sister Sha and I are constantly doing our nails.  When we aren’t doing our nails, we’re looking at nail blogs checking out swatches and konad designed nails.  Visiting these blogs inspired us to start our own so that we too can share what we have done.

I made this account about 2 months ago but procrastinated then got busy with school about 2 weeks later.  Hopefully I’ll be able to post something up every once in a while.  Wish me luck! :)
